I can always count on the Urban Docent to look on the bright side of life. I will say this about the iPhone though, it looks great, but I will wait (hey that rhymes :)). Seriously, great features but $600? Only Cingular? No thanks. I might get one in 2008/9 tho.
No, my cellphone will still work. (Though I have some problems with my particular model.)
An innovation does not obliterate older technology. It adds to it.
